The story
In 2021, Spok was doing their annual customer conference and doing it completely virtual. Prior to this, Spok had primarily done in-person events, and each conference theme was dedicated to the location of the conference, not exactly Spok’s brand itself.
When I was given responsibility of establishing the branding of the conference I wanted to highlight Spok’s brand, and in a way that emphasized the updated look and feel we had established in the beginning of the year – when we moved from focusing on one in-development solution back to prioritizing the solution customers used and loved.
Spok’s overall brand is focused on the concept of the wheel – Spok solutions connect with each other in what we show as a “wheel”. Spok allows healthcare facilities navigate their contact centers and medical departments faster through improving the communcation process. Spok shows these with their “spokes’ within the logo’s orb. Our brand plays with those spokes as waves across the page – and the use of circles are reminiscent of the orb.
Our conference theme was “Innovation. Interaction. Inspiration.” we wanted to show how we were engaging with our customers virtually and revealing our latest updates to innovate our existing products and inspire our customers to connect with each other, learn whats on the roadmap, and find out how other hospitals use Spok.
